Here we go again...

Heidi Meehan is no more.
Meet Chad and Heidi Hollinbeck :-)

Naomi, Isaac and Marie Meehan.
Isaac did a tremendous job as the ring bearer.
They're all bookworms.

Tickles!

Norris and Lorraine Jobe (Joel's grandparents)
with all of their 16 children at the Hollinbecks' wedding!

After the wedding - our tired girl clutching "Bunny".

For Mother's Day, Joel took me to a teacher supply store
that I have been dying (well - really wanting) to check out, and let me go on a shopping spree for fun toys for Marie and I to play with (don't worry, I didn't max out the credit card). I bought these lacing beads and we made matching necklaces. The rest are just a hodge podge of pictures we've taken since our camera now works again. We got a new battery, and now we can take more than two pictures without having to recharge the dumb thing. I'm going to be a picture-taking lunatic at Heidi's wedding this weekend!

This was taken after we ate hot dogs and french fries. We let Marie dip her own into the ketchup, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Her face and clothes were looking pretty rough, though.

Marie's daddy gave her a yummy breakfast of Crunch Berries on Mother's Day morning. Mommy slept until 10:00am!

She just graduated to the booster seat from the high chair.

Marie getting jammified.

-----------------------------------------------

All of the pictures below this point are taken on "Marie's Stump", which is just outside our front door. She has the whole yard area to play with, but she prefers to be Queen of the Stump.

Look, Ma! I got some stuff!

Leaves are fascinating.

Beginning the arduous ascension of the stump.

Almost there!

The queen on her throne.
"I have raised the gold scepter (er...leaf).
Your life shall be spared."

"Listen, Lady. If you even try to remove me
from my stump for naptime, things are gonna get ugly."

Things getting ugly.

The heat is on here in NC. It is only April and I'm already starting to dread the coming months of sweltering, inescapable sweat-hoggedness and horrific energy bills. We had to make a trip to Old Navy to buy Marie some cotton tanks and shorts the other day ($4/piece right now for those of you with little ladies). She has plenty of tees, but when it's 97 degrees with 100% humidity for four months straight, a girl might like a tank top every now and again. So here are a few photos of "Chieftan" (as her dad calls her) in her pink and brown separates. Sorry for my pitiful lack of posting lately. We've had a tough month of the flu, teething and most recently Marizzle's ankle sprain. At least, that's what we think it is. The x-ray was negative for a fracture.

Handkerchiefs and Pigtails...
These pictures were not taken on the same day,
but she does wear this jumper a lot.
My mom made it for me for my 1 year photo back in 1982.
We went to the library today and
everyone kept asking where we got it.
Apparently retro jumpers are all the rage.
Grammy Cindy might want to
start her own children's boutique.
These handkerchief photos were taken
right after I made her scrub the toilets
and the kitchen floor.

First pigtail (actually, second, but this
is the first photographed one).

TIM AND CARISSA CAME TO VISIT!
(note: Naomi came along, but Isaac stayed behind with Grandma and Grandpa Meehan)

Cuddles

Kisses

Naomi apparently wanted another smooch.

Us in front,
Carissa/Judith/Joanna/Naomi behind.
Judith and Joanna are Carissa's
good friends from childhood.
Judith is from PA and lives in Raleigh,
Joanna is from PA and lives in Virginia.
She drove in to see Carissa for the weekend.

Joel and Marie walking /
Maggie staring aimlessly at nothing.

Nay-nay being adventurous.

Petersburg, VA.
The entrance to the crater tunnel.
For questions about this,
and all other Civil War related concerns,
please see my husband.

Still waking up.

A fuzzy one of me with the girls.
They were so cute together.

Mariezilla

We were both tired
(note Marie clutching her bunny)

I was trying to coerce her into
kissing me for the camera.
She, like her father, is not a fan of
public displays of affection.

Ready for a nap and acting loopy.
