Sorry, no new photos of Renee this time. She's just got a few spots of baby acne left, so I'd imagine we'll be pulling out the camera more frequently in the coming days/weeks. I just can't bring myself to permanently document that two-week period in which the cuteness of my newborn is completely overshadowed with teenage-like pimples. Marie was hit a lot worse than Renee has been.

So, here are some photos showing a few ways that we've been keeping busy around the house, since we now have much more limited mobility. Marie and I use to get out of the house quite a lot. That has been the biggest adjustment for us during the week. Thankfully, the weather has been great, so we've been playing with sidewalk chalk A LOT. Yes, you can play outside in February and March in NC. Not too bad.

Soccer starts for Joel this weekend, which Marie is sooo excited about. She loves to cheer him on, shouting "Go, Daddy, go! Kick the ball! Run fast!"

Renee is sleeping well. Last night she had a 6 hour stretch (10pm to 4am). Her longest stretch was 8 hours. What a sweetie. She knows that Mommy needs sleep to function. She's also starting to half-smile a little bit after being fed, when her belly is nice and full and she's totally alert. Hooray!

I love two-year-olds. Marie is such a joy. Last night before bed she said, "I love you so much, Mommy." Can't beat that. Ditto, Marizzle.

I decided to put my non-femininity aside and do something girly with her. She's very proud of her pink toenails.

Keeping busy during the day by playing "Grocery Store". We line up grocery items around the living room, and she goes around collecting them in her cart. Thanks to Grandpa Ben and Nana for the gift card to Toys R Us. We bought some play food and this cart and they have provided hours of entertainment.

Bath tub crayons. Yes, they make such a thing. They are surprisingly easy to clean up, too.

Here Marie is pointing out who she drew a picture of. That's Joel in the blue, me in the Red, Marie is green, Renee is yellow, and her friend Lucy is purple.

Playing a game Mommy invented called "Mr. Marshmallow Man". This is a huge hit. We draw different facial expressions, and change out the faces depending on what mood Mr. Marshamallow Man is in. And we have them kick another marshmallow around to play soccer.

First braid.

Baby pictures next time. I promise!

If Marie is Marizzle, does that make you Magizzle?

I love that you have big marshmallows AND small ones at your house. That cracks me up :)
